Screening Large Datasets Efficiently
This guide walks you through the Manual Batch Screening process, making it easy for you to efficiently screen large volumes of entries—up to 10,000 records per file—in just one process.
This feature is perfect for teams that need to perform bulk screenings quickly and accurately. All you need to do is:
- Prepare your Excel file in the correct format.
- Upload it via the Screening Portal.
- Review your screening results, which are generated in just minutes.
With Manual Batch Screening, you can streamline your compliance checks, reduce repetitive manual work, centralize results in a single file, and ensure consistent results across your entire dataset.

Customizable Screening Parameters: Set minimum confidence score, specific watchlists to target only relevant sanctions or watchlists, and entity type to refine search accuracy.
Detailed Match Review: You can view results in the portal, where match details are clickable. Additionally, results can be downloaded for archiving and auditing purposes.
Automated Email Notifications: Get an email summary and a download link for full results whenever a batch finishes, ensuring compliance teams stay updated in real-time.

Best Practices and Considerations
- Prepare and clean your data before upload, ensure data accuracy, fill all recommended fields, and options fields, when possible, to improve match accuracy.
- Screening results reports can be downloaded for 30 days after processing. Afterward, they are automatically removed from our servers and are no longer accessible.
- Deleting a batch search permanently removes all associated data, including the results report, and invalidates any shared links.

Download the Screening Template
1. The screening template can be found in the Batch Screening upload dialog by clicking on the "Upload Excel" button.
2. Click on Download Template.
Add your Data
1. Open the screening template file using your preferred spreadsheet software.
2. Enter your data.
- Required data:
external_identifier
,min_score
,data_source
, andname
- Optional data:
date_of_birth
,country
,entity_type
, andidentifier
3. Rename the file (optional) and save it.
⚠️ Important: Before uploading, please ensure your data is formatted according to our template. Learn more about it by following our Screening Template: Preparing and Formatting the Data guide.
Start the Screening Process
Once your data is prepared, you're ready to begin screening.
⚠️ Important: Please make sure your file contains no more than 10,000 rows.
1. On the Screening Portal, go to Batch Screening and click on the Upload Excel button.
2. Click on Choose File to upload your file. Confirm that it's the correct file and upload it.

Schedule Daily Screening
You can enable "Schedule Daily Screening" to automatically re-screen the batch file daily. It must be enabled before uploading a file.
- When browsing the Batch History list, you'll see a time icon 🕓 next to each batch if "Schedule Daily Screening" was enabled before the batch was uploaded.
- You will receive a daily email to the address linked to the account confirming that your monitoring screening request has been processed.
Review the Batch Results
Once the Screening Portal has processed your batch, you will see the total number of records screened, the number of matches identified, and the match rate displayed on your screen. The results are listed below.
1. Click on each record to view detailed information about the match.
2. After selecting a record, open detailed results using the side arrow.
Results via Email
For each submitted batch screening request, you will receive an email notification sent to the email address linked to your account. This notification includes a summary of your request and a link to download the batch screening report.
Note: The screening process may vary depending on the volume of records in your file.
Download the Batch Screening Report
The batch screening report can be downloaded as a .zip file, which contains the report in Excel, JSON, and CSV formats.
Download it directly from the Screening Portal or by following the link sent to the email address linked to your account.
Delete a Batch
Select a batch from the Batch History dropdown menu and click Delete Batch.
⚠️ Important: Please ensure you have selected the correct batch file; this action cannot be undone. All associated data, including the reports and links, is permanently removed.
